Soya Granules Curry

The Soya Granules contain a profound amount of protein, which is more than the quantity of protein found in eggs, meats, wheat and milk.

The below preparation can be well enjoyed by both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

It goes well with Chapati sor Plain Prathas (Indian Breads)


  • 2 Fresh Tomato-Finely Chopped
  • 2 Onion Finely Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1.5 tbsp Corriander and Cummin powder mix
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilly powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek Leaf powder (Kasuri Methi)
  • 1/2 cup Green Peas
  • 1 cup Soya Granules
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped Corriander Leaves for Garnishing
  • Fresh cream for Garnishing-Optional


Step 1

Boil 3 cups of water and switch off the gas, now add Soya Granules in the boiled water, cover it with lid

Step 2

In a frying pan (Kadhai), heat the oil. Add chopped Onions and fry till it turns golden brown

Step 3

Add Ginger Garlic paste and fry it for a minute

Step 4

Now add chopped Tomato till its cooked well.

Step 5

Add Corriander powder, Chilly powder, Turmeric powder and Garam Masal. Fry it till it starts liberating oil

Step 6

Now add curd to it and fry it for half a minute

Step 7

Add Fenugreek leaf powder and stir well

Step 8

Once you see oil liberating, add green peas and strained Soya Granules. Fry till it starts liberating oil again

Step 9

Add 1 and 1/2 cup water and salt to taste and cook it till green peas are cooked well. Approximately for 10 mins

Step 10

Garnish it with fresh cream and chopped Corriander leaves and serve it hot.
